Typical food



 
The most typical dishes of this region is:
 the “carne a la llanera” or “mamona”, which is prepared by roasting beef cuts chuzos (varas wood) buried in a circle around a bonfire. 




 


Other special dishes with hallaca, tamal stuffed with meat and vegetables







 







and soups like boiled gumare, soup of hen.
